CoVi Technologies, an Austin, Texas-based provider of networked enterprise video surveillance solutions, brought in Walt & Company as it PR agency of record to educate C-level enterprise decision-makers on the future of IP-based networked video surveillance. Building upon the company’s unique technology, a program was developed that leveraged the widespread interest in high-definition (HD) digital video and the ubiquity of the Internet as a formidable and de facto enterprise-caliber communications backbone. In addition, due to the mainstream media interest in crime stories – particularly those caught on grainy video systems that provide little law enforcement benefit – we have been able to leverage timely, topical media interest to drive additional business, trade and blog coverage.

Results: Walt & Company generated targeted coverage of CoVi’s products and solutions in key media targeting enterprise security professionals, facility security managers, and channel publications targeting security system VARs, SIs and OEMs. In 2008, the company was successfully acquired by General Electric.
